Speed Training Methods 

Instructions:

  • Watch each video below to learn my favorite ways to add speed.
  • Pick 1-2 speed training methods you'll use for the challenge (e.g., 10-2 method + Tour Tempo, Rypstick only, HiiTs driver, etc., based on your equipment/apps)
  • Make sure you have the equipment, setup, and time.
  • Only train 2-3x a week (max). If you're doing the speed only or the HiiTs method, 2X a week

Method 1: The 12-Ball Blastoff

Level 1: No equipment needed; can do at the range, simulator, or net.

 

Method 2: Speed Swings

Level 1: No equipment needed, can do at the range, simulator, or net.  

 

Method 3: Tour Tempo

Level 1-2: No speed trainers; need the Tour Tempo app but can do it at the range, simulator, or net.  

 

Method 4: Speed Trainer

Level 2: Need a speed trainer like Rypstick, The Stack, Speed Toad, or SuperSpeed Golf

 

Method 5: Speed Only Sessions

Level 2: No speed trainer; can do it at the range, simulator, or net.  

 

Method 6: HiiTs Driver

Level 3: HiiTs driver required, best to do at the simulator so you can turn off graphics and focus on speed.
