Pliability App Review: Worth The Money?

Pliability App Review

Mobility is one of those things almost everyone knows they should work on—but very few people do consistently. Between workouts, sports, and everyday life, most people either stretch randomly, follow whatever they find on YouTube, or wait until something starts hurting before they pay attention to it.

That’s where apps like Pliability come in. In this Pliability app review, I’ll help you understand more about this popular app to see if it’s right for you (and your sport). I’ve tested it personally to help my golf game (and overall health) and will compare it against other popular apps.

Pliability App Review

Pliability is a guided mobility and recovery app designed to help people move better, feel better, and stay more resilient over time.

In this Pliability review, I'll break down the full picture—what the Pliability app is, how it works, what features you get, how much it costs, and whether it’s actually worth using. Then, because I'm an avid golfer and work with them, I’ll also explain how Pliability can be used specifically for golf—improving rotation, reducing stiffness, supporting recovery, and helping the body move more efficiently through a repetitive sport.

What is Pliability?

At its core, Pliability is a guided mobility, flexibility, and recovery app designed to help you move better through structured, follow-along routines. Instead of guessing what to stretch or piecing together random exercises from social media, the app gives you:

  • Clear structure
  • Guided video sessions
  • Progressions based on time, difficulty, and focus area

The key difference between Pliability and generic stretching is intent. Every session is designed to improve range of motion, control, and tissue quality—not just “feel loose for five minutes.”

Using the Pliability App

The reason I finally decided to try it was my lack of structure. I was not stretching/doing enough mobility and my golf game suffered. But random stuff on Instagram and YouTube weren’t cutting it.

This isn’t an issue with Pliability. With the stretching app, you choose sessions based on:

  • How much time you have (short or longer routines)
  • Whether you’re warming up, recovering, or building mobility
  • What your body needs that day (hips, back, shoulders, full body)

For golfers, that structure matters. The golf swing demands rotation, stability, and repeatability—and most golfers lose those things not because of their swing, but because their body can’t get into good positions consistently.

Pliability helps address that by:

  • Improving joint mobility
  • Increasing usable range of motion
  • Reducing stiffness that leads to compensation
  • Supporting recovery between rounds and workouts

It’s not a swing fix. It’s not golf instruction. But when used correctly, it can remove physical restrictions that make good swings harder to repeat. It’s for all types of athletes, not just golfers, including overall training, running, Hyrox, and other sports.

What’s Inside the Pliability App

Once you get logged into the app (they offer a 7-day free trial), you all have sorts of options. You can do a mobility test they offer to find your tight areas (back, shoulders, hips, etc.) or, go straight to the area that is holding you back. For example, I did my own mobility test at a performance clinic and found my hips and shoulders were the biggest areas to improve.

Then, you can go through the library of sessions to get started or follow a path. They offer a welcome series and then you pick the path to hit your goals.

The sessions themselves are 15–25 minutes long and remind me of Yin-Yoga. Typically, you only have 3–5 stretches and hold them for long 2 or 3-minute sessions. Which to me feels like flexibility vs. mobility?

Overall, it’s a great stretch but also extremely relaxing with the music/vibe, making it an awesome choice after work or before bed. They’re easy to follow videos with 2 people showing two progressions of various stretches.

Challenges and Integrations

Pliability also offers challenges to keep you accountable as well. The app also pairs well with Garmin, Apple Health, and Whoop for a better picture of your overall health.

Pliability App Cost

Is Pliability worth it? What is the price of Pliability?

Good questions for sure because if you’re like me, you have too many paid apps to begin with.

Pliability is a subscription-based app after the 7-day free trial. They offer:

  • Monthly subscription ($17.95/month)
  • Annual subscription (at a discounted rate of $179/year)

The exact pricing can change, but it’s generally in line with other premium mobility apps. From a value standpoint, the question isn’t just how much does it cost, it’s: will you actually use it consistently?

If you’re someone who:

  • values recovery and longevity
  • wants guided sessions without thinking
  • struggles to create structure on your own

Then the cost is easier to justify. If you prefer completely free, unstructured routines and don’t mind inconsistency, it may not be worth it.

Pliability App vs. Other Apps

As you probably know, there’s no shortage of fitness apps for golfers and athletes. Here’s how it stacks up against the competition.

WOD

GOWOD is a mobility app built around the idea of personalization. Instead of selecting a preset routine, users complete a short daily assessment and the app generates a session based on how their body feels that day. This approach appeals to people who want mobility work to adapt to their training load, recovery needs, or soreness rather than following the same routine repeatedly.

For golfers and athletes, that daily customization can be useful for identifying tight areas that may affect movement or performance. That said, the assessment-driven experience can feel more involved and less “plug-and-play” than simpler follow-along apps. GOWOD is best suited for users who enjoy an interactive, data-informed approach to mobility and don’t mind spending a little extra time tailoring each session.

Dynamic Golfers

Dynamic Golfers focuses on movement and mobility specifically through the lens of the golf swing. Their approach combines functional movement patterns with golf-specific drills to help players move better in positions that matter for their game.

This program emphasizes movement quality, stability, and coordinated motion—the kinds of things that support not just flexibility but usable mobility during a swing. If you’re a golfer looking to bridge the gap between general mobility and golf performance, this is another solid choice.

GolfForever

GolfForever is a mobility and activation program built specifically with golfers in mind (read my full review). It blends movement drills, joint activation exercises, and golf-specific warm-ups into routines that prepare the body for range sessions or rounds, not just general mobility work.

What sets GolfForever apart is that it’s structured around how the golf swing moves the body. But they do offer mobility, flexibility, stability, and balance trainings inside the app too.

For golfers looking to play better, feel looser, and stay healthier through the season, GolfForever provides a targeted approach that pairs well with strength and skill training. Used before practice or rounds, it helps you arrive ready, and used after, it can ease stiffness.

While it’s more golf-centric than broader mobility apps, some players use it alongside tools like Pliability or GOWOD to cover both golf-specific activation and general body mobility. Read my full comparison here

My Experience

Thus far, I’m a big fan of Pliability but will say it’s more stretching/flexibility than mobility (as the app seems to advertise). If I had to rate it, I’d give it an 8/10.

I take golf fitness seriously, which is why I published The Wicked Smart Golf Fitness Formula. The more you tackle fitness head on, the more likely you are to avoid injuries, improve driving distance, and play more consistent golf.

Here’s how I’ve structured my workout routines and suggest everyone doing something similar:

  • Full body workouts 2-3x a week (I like to use the Fit For Golf app).
  • Pre-round warm up and golf performance sessions using the GolfForever app.
  • Nightly routines with Pliability to focus on mobility and flexibility.

Paired with speed training through Rypstick, my game and body has never been better. But it’s all about consistency, understanding that fitness is a process, and sustainability is key.

Closing Thoughts

Mobility won’t magically fix your golf swing or athletic performance. But poor mobility can quietly limit everything else you’re working on.

Pliability offers a simple, structured way to address that—without overthinking it. For golfers and non-golfers alike, the real value comes from doing small, consistent work that keeps your body capable of doing what you ask of it. No more guessing, just follow the plan at home (or at the gym) with an easy-to-follow app.

If staying healthy, moving better, and supporting long-term performance matters to you, Pliability is a tool worth considering.
