Golf fitness isn't just about getting stronger or looking better—it's about building a body that can support the golf swing you want to make.

If you want to hit longer drives, maintain your energy for 18 holes, avoid nagging injuries, and continue playing great golf as you get older, what you do away from the course matters. Strength, mobility, flexibility, balance, stability, and speed all play a role in how well your body performs on the course.

The good news is you don't have to figure everything out on your own. Golf fitness apps make it easier than ever to follow a structured plan, stay accountable, and train specifically for the demands of the game.

I've tested a lot of golf fitness programs over the years while working to improve my own strength, mobility, and clubhead speed. In this guide, I'll share the five best golf fitness apps to help you find the right program for your body, goals, and schedule.

5 Best Golf Fitness Apps in 2026

There's no single "best" golf fitness app for every player because your biggest physical limitation might be completely different from another golfer's.

One player might need to get stronger. Another might have plenty of strength but struggle with tight hips and limited rotation. Others might need better balance, more mobility, improved endurance, or a structured way to finally start speed training.

That's why I don't believe golf fitness should revolve around one type of training.

In The Wicked Smart Golf Fitness Formula, I break golf fitness down into five key pillars because becoming a more athletic golfer requires developing your body as a whole. The best programs also make training easier to stick with by giving you structure instead of forcing you to piece together random workouts from Instagram or YouTube.

The five apps below take different approaches to golf fitness. Some prioritize strength and power, others focus more on mobility and movement, while others provide a broader golf-specific training system.

Depending on your goals, you might even find that two apps complement each other perfectly. Let's break down the five best golf fitness apps, what each one does best, and which type of golfer should use each program.

1. GolfForever - Train Like Scottie Scheffler ($$$)

GolfForever is one of the most complete golf fitness apps I've tested because it combines guided training with actual fitness equipment. Instead of focusing exclusively on strength, mobility, or speed, the program incorporates several areas that matter for golfers—including rotational power, flexibility, balance, stability, conditioning, and injury prevention.

What separates GolfForever from a typical fitness app is its hybrid approach. The Swing Trainer uses resistance bands and different attachments alongside the app's guided workouts, while the app also includes

  • Pre-round warm-ups
  • Easy-to-follow stretching routines
  • Personalized programming after initial assessment
  • Golf performance sessions to improve overall fitness

I especially like the warm-up options because they're an easy way to get your body moving before practice or a round instead of grabbing a club and immediately making full-speed swings.

I've incorporated GolfForever into my own fitness routine alongside full-body strength and speed training, and it's become one of my favorite tools for golf-specific movement, mobility, and preparation. If you want a program that makes it easy to train at home and gives you a clear plan to follow, it's one of the best all-around options on this list.

Pros

  • βœ… Combines physical training equipment with a guided golf fitness app
  • βœ… Excellent pre-round warm-ups and golf-specific workouts
  • βœ… Covers mobility, stability, rotational power, conditioning, and more
  • βœ… Personalized programming based on your goals and fitness level
  • βœ… Easy to incorporate alongside strength and speed training

Cons

  • ❌ Higher initial investment than an app-only program
  • ❌ Requires some space to use the equipment effectively
  • ❌ Not designed primarily for adding significant muscle
  • ❌ Can be less convenient in a crowded commercial gym

2. Dynamic Golfers: Best Golf Mobility App ($)

Dynamic Golfers is one of my favorite options for golfers who want to prioritize mobility, flexibility, balance, and better movement without adding another complicated workout to their schedule. Unlike general stretching apps, the program is built specifically around the areas golfers commonly struggle with, including the hips, shoulders, thoracic spine, and rotational movement.

Most Dynamic Golfers sessions take about 15–25 minutes, require little to no equipment, and are easy to use alongside your existing strength, speed, and golf practice routines. That's what I like most about Dynamic Golfers: it gives you structure.

Instead of searching YouTube or Instagram for random stretches, you open the app, follow the guided session, and get on with your day.

Pros

  • βœ… Short, easy-to-follow sessions
  • βœ… Designed specifically for golfers
  • βœ… No gym or expensive equipment required
  • βœ… Pairs well with strength and speed training
  • βœ… Targets mobility, rotation, stability, and balance
  • βœ… Great option for reducing stiffness and moving better

Cons

  • ❌ Doesn't replace a dedicated strength program
  • ❌ Not designed specifically to increase swing speed
  • ❌ Requires consistent use to see meaningful improvements

If mobility is a weakness or you simply need more structure to make it part of your routine, Dynamic Golfers is one of the easiest programs to implement. 3. Fit For Golf: Best Golf Workout App ($$)

Fit For Golf is my favorite option for golfers who want to prioritize strength, power, and athletic performance. Created by performance coach Mike Carroll, the app takes the guesswork out of the gym with structured programs built around full-body compound movements, power exercises, mobility, and golf-specific performance.

What I like most is the amount of structure and flexibility. After completing an assessment, you can choose from home or gym programs, shorter workouts, in-season maintenance, offseason strength programs, and different equipment options. The app also includes dynamic warm-ups, mobility routines, speed training, and a TPI-style physical assessment to help identify limitations that might be holding back your swing.

I've used Fit For Golf extensively as part of my own training and love how simple it makes tracking workouts and progressing over time. If getting stronger, adding speed, and becoming a more athletic golfer are your priorities, this is one of the best golf fitness apps I've tested.

Pros

  • βœ… Excellent golf-specific strength and power programs
  • βœ… Options for home, gym, offseason, and in-season training
  • βœ… Easy workout tracking and video demonstrations
  • βœ… Includes mobility, warm-ups, speed training, and physical assessments
  • βœ… Great for beginners and experienced lifters
  • βœ… Structured around long-term progression instead of random workouts

Cons

  • ❌ Strength training is the primary focus
  • ❌ Fewer dedicated mobility/flexibility sessions than mobility-focused apps
  • ❌ Requires consistent workouts to get the full benefit

4. Pliability: Best Stretching App ($$)

Pliability is a little different from the other golf fitness apps on this list because it isn't designed specifically for golfers. Instead, it's a general mobility, flexibility, and recovery app with guided routines designed to help athletes move better, reduce stiffness, and improve range of motion.

I've used Pliability primarily for evening recovery and flexibility work, and the sessions are incredibly easy to follow. Most last 15–25 minutes and typically involve a handful of longer-held stretches, which gives them an almost Yin Yoga feel. Personally, I think it leans more toward stretching and flexibility than true mobility training, but that's also why I enjoy using it after workouts, golf, or before bed.

Pros

  • βœ… Relaxing, easy-to-follow guided sessions
  • βœ… Includes mobility testing and structured paths
  • βœ… Excellent for stretching, flexibility, and recovery
  • βœ… Integrates with Apple Health, Garmin, and WHOOP
  • βœ… Great complement to strength, golf, and speed training
  • βœ… Choose routines based on body area, goals, or available time

Cons

  • ❌ Not designed specifically for golfers
  • ❌ Doesn't replace strength or speed training
  • ❌ Requires a kind of expensive subscription after the free trial
  • ❌ Feels more flexibility/stretching-focused than some mobility programs

I’ve used Pliability alongside strength training, golf-specific warm-ups, and speed work rather than treating it as my entire fitness program. Read my complete Pliability App review for my experience, how the app works, pricing, and how it compares with other mobility and golf fitness programs.

5. Whoop: Best Tracking App ($$$)

WHOOP isn't technically a golf fitness app, but it's become one of my favorite tools for managing my golf, workouts, recovery, and overall health. Instead of simply counting activity, WHOOP tracks things like sleep, strain, recovery, HRV, resting heart rate, steps, and other health metrics to help you understand how prepared your body is to perform each day.

For golf, I've found it especially useful during heavy practice and tournament weeks. Walking 18 holes, speed training, strength workouts, travel, and competitive golf can create a lot more strain than you realize.

WHOOP helps me see the bigger picture so I can manage my workload, prioritize recovery, fuel appropriately, and avoid piling more training onto an already fatigued body. I also love the AI Coach, which makes it much easier to understand all the data and identify patterns over time.

Pros

  • βœ… Tracks sleep, recovery, strain, HRV, steps, and more
  • βœ… Great for managing golf, workouts, and tournament weeks
  • βœ… Helps identify long-term trends instead of focusing on one workout
  • βœ… AI Coach makes complex data easier to understand
  • βœ… Useful for improving sleep and recovery habits
  • βœ… No distracting screen while you're wearing it

Cons

  • ❌ Doesn't provide actual golf workouts or mobility routines
  • ❌ Requires an ongoing membership
  • ❌ Lots of data can be unnecessary if you won't use it to change your habits
  • ❌ Recovery scores should guide decisions—not dictate them

After switching to WHOOP in 2025, it's become something I don't see myself giving up. Read my full WHOOP for Golf Review to learn more about the features, my experience, and exactly how I use the data for golf, fitness, and recovery.

Bonus: Kairo - Mental Game Training ($)

Golf fitness isn't only physical—your mind needs training too. That's why I'm including Kairo as a bonus on this list. It's an AI-powered visualization and mental training app that creates personalized sessions based on your sport, goals, and biggest challenges.

I've become a huge believer in Kairo because it makes visualization easy and repeatable. Instead of wondering what to visualize or trying to create a mental training routine yourself, you can generate short 8–10 minute sessions.

These are focused on things like confidence, pre-shot routines, swing changes, putting, tournament pressure, and shooting lower scores. I've personally completed 100+ sessions and more than 1,500 minutes using the app.

Mental training won't replace getting stronger, improving mobility, or working on speed—but it can complement everything you're doing physically. If you want to start training your mind as intentionally as your body, Kairo is a fantastic option.

My Experience

Technology and equipment has completely changed how I approach golf fitness. Instead of guessing what workouts to do, randomly stretching, or hoping I'm training the right things, these apps give me structure, accountability, and a much better understanding of my body.

I've used different apps for different goals—Fit For Golf for strength, GolfForever for golf-specific training and warm-ups (arguably the best golf fitness app, just a tad expensive), Dynamic Golfers and Pliability for mobility/flexibility, and WHOOP to track recovery and overall workload. Paired with dedicated speed training using tools like Rypstick and the HiiTS Driver, it's helped me become stronger, move better, stay healthy, and add serious speed to my golf swing.

The results have translated to the course. I've never hit the ball longer, and I'm playing some of the best golf of my life. It's not because of one magical app or workout—it's the combination of strength, mobility, speed, recovery, and consistency over time. These tools simply make it much easier to follow the plan.

Closing Thoughts

Golf fitness is one of the biggest opportunities most golfers are leaving on the table.

You can buy a new driver, take more lessons, and spend hours practicing, but your body is still the engine behind everything you do in the golf swing. Getting stronger, moving better, adding speed, improving endurance, and staying healthy can benefit your game for decades.

Don't overcomplicate it or feel like you need to use every app on this list. Pick the program that best matches what your body needs right now and get started.

Fitness is a long-term investment in your golf game and your life. Start small, stay consistent, and keep progressing—your future golf game will thank you.
